We thank you that your Holy Spirit is not restrained by man-made frontiers and country boundaries Our prayers can blanket the world with your love.
There are so many areas of the world in turmoil -
Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, the Middle East, and not forgetting Zimbabwe

"You have heard people say, 'Love your neighbours and hate your enemies.' But I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who mistreats you. Then you will be acting like your Father in heaven"
(Matthew 5v43-48)

We pray for: all those living and working in difficult areas;
either at war or with fragile peace agreements.

We pray for: all who live in these volatile areas of turmoil and unrest.
Help leaders to make decisions that are for the common good
and not for separate group advantage

We pray for: those who feel forgotten and helpless in their situation.
Bring people along side them who can give support and offer help in
practical and compassionate ways

We pray for: aid workers. Grant them wisdom, strength and resiliance as they deal with frustrating and often harrowing situations.

"… pray especially for rulers and the governments…"

Lord you know and love each of these people.
You know their problems and anxieties. We ask that as we pray
they may experience the special peace that only You can give.
Please bring healing and comfort to all who are unwell and suffer pain.
We ask for peace in the minds and hearts of those who are suffering long term illness - soothe their discouragements
and bring strength and confidence for the future.

We pray in Jesus' Name. Amen

Jesus says:
Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly,"
Matthew 11 v 30 (The Message)

I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He shall stand upon
the earth at last. And I know that after this body has decayed,
this body shall see God!
Yes, I shall see Him, not as a stranger, but as a friend!
What a glorious hope!
